Guided walks, varying in length to suit all members of the community, take place at regular intervals throughout the year. Many of them include areas of historical interest in a variety of locations throughout Dorset.
Talks, mostly illustrated by slide or video, and on a variety of subjects including the environment, history, archaeology and local issues are held at Allendale House.
Booking Heritage Events
The details of each event include ticket information. Tickets are available from East Dorset Heritage Trust on 01202 888992 (9 to 5, Monday to Friday).
Countryside Trailer
The Trust's Countryside Trailer Scheme enables people with mobility problems to enjoy a visit to areas of the countryside which would otherwise be inaccessible to them.
Storytelling and Wimborne Community Theatre
Storytelling of myths and legends takes place in the Earthouse at the Ancient Technology Centre in Cranborne at various times during the year, and the Wimborne Community Theatre gives innovative performances of past, present and future stories about a particular community and its environment. EDHT provides a box office service for some of these events at Allendale House.
