Since 1992 the Scheme has enabled people with mobility problems to enjoy areas of the country-side which would otherwise be inaccessible to them.
The Countryside Trailer takes groups around such places as Kingston Lacy, Badbury Rings, Moors Valley Country Park, Hengistbury Head, Studland and Old Harry Rocks. Other locations may be possible.
A tractor carefully tows a specially designed trailer which can safely seat up to eight people or securely take up to eight wheelchairs. It has a removable roof offering protection from the sun or rain. All the drivers are trained volunteers.
The Countryside Trailer can be booked by groups and organisations, including care homes.
